Learn more about Mardi Gras, Porsche Club of America

About the Mardi Gras Region

When you own one of the finest automobiles in the world, you belong to an exclusive group of individuals who share a passion.  The Mardi Gras Region was formed to bring Porsche enthusiasts across southeast Louisiana together to celebrate these unique sports cars.

The following parishes are in the Mardi Gras Region PCA:  Ascension, Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Martin (southern region), St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne and Washington.

Our objective first and foremost is safety, followed closely by fun! Our monthly dinner meetings are usually rotated between the northshore and southshore. Occasionally we travel to out of way places like Manchac or Maurepas just so we can get out and run our cars. If you have any suggestions as to where we could meet, just click on the Contact the Club Leaders page and let us know.

In addition to our monthly dinner meetings, the Mardi Gras Region hosts various social and driving activities throughout the year.  For those of you who would like to learn more about performance driving, we hold several Driver’s Education events at area racetracks, as well as our annual Club Race.  Our goal is to provide an avenue for our members to learn more about their cars and to enjoy some good old-fashioned camaraderie.

This web site will be updated regularly, so please check back often for the latest news and events happening within the club.  And if you have any comments or questions, just click here to submit them to us, or feel free to contact the club leaders directly.  If you are a member, we look forward to seeing you at our next gathering.  If you are interested in joining the PCA, visit our membership page to find out everything you need to know, then sign up; we would love to have you as a member!

Charities

Mardi Gras Region is active in support of local and national charities.  We hold at least two fundraisers per year and frequently coordinate with other car clubs on charitable events.  In addition, for our DE’s and Club Race, we hold Parade Laps during the lunch break.  For a twenty dollar donation, you can take your car on the NOLA motorsports track and drive at highway speeds.  All of the money raise during the parade laps is donated.  Some of the Charities we have donated to include:

Barran’s Bears

DirectRelief

Hope Lodge

K 9’s for Warriors

Methodist Children’s Home of Greater New Orleans

Ronald Mc Donald House Charities

Second Harvest Food Bank

St. Francis Animal Sanctuary

St. Michael’s School

St. Tammany Humane Society
